Where the idea came from

For 25 years I worked at senior and director level within heavily regulated investment firms in the UK and abroad. That meant engaging with solicitors constantly in regulatory matters, civil disputes, compliance issues, contractual disagreements, you name it.

I noticed the same gap every time. The legal advice was usually sound. What was failing was everything in between: incomplete instructions, disorganised documents, clients who did not understand what they had been told, and solicitors spending billable time on things that had nothing to do with law.

I was also personally involved in a number of civil disputes over the years, some my own, some involving friends or clients. Each time, I found myself playing an informal role: helping people understand what their lawyer had said, organising their paperwork, keeping them focused. It was never my job. But it was always needed. Litigation Coordinator is the formalisation of something I had been doing informally for years.

Since 2020 I have worked as an expert witness in civil and criminal matters, primarily involving fraud and white-collar crime. I work directly with solicitors and barristers helping them form opinions, challenging opposing experts, and giving oral evidence in open court including to juries.

That experience gives me something rare in a support role: a deep, practical understanding of how litigation works from the inside.

I hold the Bond Solon Cardiff University accreditation in both civil and criminal expert witness work, the highest level of professional accreditation available for expert witnesses in England and Wales. I completed my Master of Laws (LLM) in Financial Regulation and Compliance at BPP Law School, London in 2019, which gave me a formal grounding in how complex legal and regulatory frameworks operate, as well as a clear understanding of where the boundary between supporting the law and practising it lies.
